TERMS OF USE The use of the LG Electronics Global Sales Portal website is subject to the terms set out below. Terms 1.1 By accessing, using or downloading materials from this site, you agree to follow and be bound by these terms, our Privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement, our Legal Notice and, if you purchase any products on this site, our Standard Trading Terms . In using this website for any purpose, you agree to be bound by these terms of use (Terms). Please ensure you read and understand the Terms before you use this site. If you do not accept these Terms, you must refrain from using this website. 1.2 LG Electronics Australia Pty Ltd (LGEAP) reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to amend these Terms from time to time. Please review the Terms periodically for any updates or changes. Your continued use of this website following the posting of any amendments to the Terms is deemed to be acceptance by you of such amendments. 2. Security Privacy and security are high priorities for LGEAP. We have endeavoured to provide a secure online experience to our users. Where the LGEAP registration or order form requires you to enter sensitive information (such as credit card details), that information is encrypted and is protected with encryption software. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer is locked and not in the unlocked or open status which is usual when you are just “surfing” the Internet. These mechanisms provide additional protection and security for our users. We will take reasonable steps to preserve the security of information that we receive from you. No data transmission over the Internet can, however, be guaranteed as totally secure. While we strive to protect information, we do not warrant and cannot ensure the security of any information which you transmit to us. Accordingly, any information which you transmit to us is transmitted at your own risk. 3. Site and service updates LGEAP provides site and service announcement updates to its customers and suppliers from time to time. These service announcements contain important information about the site and service. LGEAP may also communicate with you via email or telephone to provide requested services and in relation to any issues relating to your account. You may unsubscribe from any announcements we send you via email. 4. Opt-out option Where we ask for your information (such as on our order form),you are given the option to “opt-out” of having your information used for purposes not directly related to our site. For example, when you purchase a product from us, our order form has an “opt-out” mechanism allowing you to “opt-out” of receiving any of our marketing materials (including LGEAP’s newsletter). 5. Miscellaneous 5.1 All use of this website and information from this website is subject to Australian laws. LGEAP makes no representation that any of its content or materials is appropriate for use in jurisdictions outside Australia. If you use this website from any location outside Australia, you are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws. If any provision of the Terms is held to be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. 5.2 The Terms state the entire agreement between you and LGEAP as to the use of this website. The Terms may not be amended except as provided above.
